Mold Technician helps to support manufacturing of plastic injection molding


  • The Injection Changeover Technician is required to set up Molds
  • The Injection Changeover Technician is required to maintain control of processes for injection molding. Verify correct set-up of molds, processes and auxiliary equipment before machine start up. Establish proper molding conditions. Perform process monitoring and troubleshooting part inspections and various other functions to insure part conformity and quality
  • Identifies and corrects problems: applies experience and knowledge in making adjustments; documents changes; addresses questionable parts and monitors and focuses on scrap reduction
  • Ensures product is consistent with product quality and adherence to the Quality System. Verify paperwork for jobs is completed at startup and shut down of production jobs
  • Responsible for performing mold changes as dictated by the schedule and helping to teach and train Injection Changeover Technicians on an ongoing basis
  • Review work orders to insure the correct issuing of raw materials, packaging, inserts,etc.
  • The ability to setup, start, troubleshoot injection molds and the injection molding process
  • Basic understanding of hydraulics as they apply to the Injection molding machine
  • Basic understanding of electricity and electronics as they apply to the molding floor. The ability to check fuses, change out heater bands, check voltages, for example
  • Read and follow the daily production schedule and prioritize work for improved efficiency
  • Maintain setup sheets and record changes and problems that are encountered

Perform tooling changeovers and tool maintenance


Previous plastic injection molding experience a plus

Positive Attitude to learn and contribute to daily improvements
