Performs routine inspection of products for conformance to specific product standards. Ensuring EG Industries is producing and shipping our customer’s quality products that meet required standards.


·         1st Piece Inspections, Control Plan/Process Audits and Skid Checks

·         SPC measurements, moisture checks and color/gloss readings and other quality testing

·         Small Lot verifications

·         Communicate and discuss problems, quality issues, samples, and new procedures with inspectors, FLL, MQC and other auditors

·         Inspect parts to ensure that they meet customer and EG Industries quality standards

·         Place suspect/defective parts on hold and oversee the hold area

·         Notify FLL immediately when parts are placed on hold and make immediate plans on disposition of parts placed on hold

·         Serve as Corrective Action Team (CAT) member when required

·         Small Lot and Partial Container verifications

·         Records appropriate data collections as required

·         Inform technicians of any non-conforming parts found in a timely manner

·         Attend all required meetings and training when scheduled

·         Maintain a safe a clean work area

·         Must be a team player and capable of identifying the educational needs of others, teaching and instructing other in various aspects of the job

·         Conduct inspections of parts and provide necessary information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates

·         Job requires accepting constructive criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations

·         Must understand and follow standard work practices

·         Must follow 5S Standards

·         Must provide quality products 100% of the time

·         Must be able to work overtime on a short notice

·         Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable

·         Attendance is crucial in the Press Operator position


Preferred Qualifications for Hire or Promotion:

·         Proof of other professional vocational training

·         Basic math and good reading skills

·         General understanding of property testing along with the units of measure

·         Good hand eye coordination

·         Ability to evaluate product to the level of standard provided and accept or hold product if no at level of standard

·         Must be team player, capable of working well with others

·         Must have Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook


Education and Job Experience Requirements

·         High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferred

·         Must have knowledge and ability to work in the Plex system comfortably and efficiently

·         Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access


Work Environment and Physical Demands

·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers to handle and  feel; also, talk or hear

·         The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

·         Ability to stand for long periods of time

·         The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. and occasionally may maneuver up to 50 lbs.

·         Specific visions abilities required by this job may include but not limited to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception

·         Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment for a minimum of 8-12 hours per day

·         Must be able to stand continuously for the duration of a scheduled shift, minimum 8-12 hours per day
