Overview

The Floor Support associate will assist the production department with component/material supply to the production lines, material flow, break relief for any of the production areas, inspection of product that has been placed on containment, fill in for absenteeism, and assist with training needs. 

Responsibilities

  • Supply/Remove components from production lines as needed following FIFO Standards
  • Set up work centers on job changes
  • Ensuring material levels at machine are full (shoveling, informing Material Handler when material is needed)
  • Loading and unloading components/material in plex
  • Unload components/material to the correct location
  • Containment of parts
  • Follow containment directions when sorting product for defects and communicate and document all findings.
  • Visually inspect, stamp and pack parts per work instructions and packaging diagram
  • Follow manufacturing work instructions to produce, inspect and pack parts while conducting break relief or filling in for absenteeism.
  • Perform routine inspection of product to standard
  • Keep Supervisor informed of and document any abnormalities in the production flow and product quality
  • Inform Supervisor of any non-conforming parts found in a timely manner
  • Follow OJT training procedures to train associates on production jobs.
  • Attend all required meetings and training when scheduled
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Must be knowledgeable in required personal protective equipment
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Must be a team player
  • Other duties as assigned

Safety Requirements 

  • Must observe and practice all safety regulations. This includes the wearing and proper usage of the necessary personal protective equipment required for any task.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
