Material Handlers are responsible for ensuring that all equipment and materials are delivered to workstations and other locations throughout in a timely manner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Put finished goods in assigned locations
  • Issue Raw Material for jobs on the floor
  • Safe operation and Certification on forklift and know forklift procedures
  • Handling hazardous Materials
  • Load and Unload finished goods and raw materials from the truck dock
  • Label and Stage shipments
  • Load material and components required in Plex for each job at all work centers to ensure proper inventory control.
  • Follow FIFO procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform Housekeeping tasks as assigned
  • Must be knowledgeable in personal protective equipment
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Must be a team player


Decision Making Authority

·         Coordinate with Production Team to prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates and still make demands

·         Identify floor inventory mismatch issues and resolve

·         Identify when floor demands exceed work capacity and elevate issues and ask for help

·         Able to consolidate work as the demands come in, and work at maximum efficiency


  • Must be able to pass a forklift safety test & forklift driving test upon hire
  • Basic math skills and good reading skills, with the ability to use a calculator for larger number work
  • Attention to detail and unsupervised, first time accuracy
  • Ability to move freely throughout the building to gather information, materials and authorizations
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Able to work overtime  as needed
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification

  • Must observe and practice all safety regulations. This includes the wearing and proper usage of the necessary personal protective equipment required for any task
