The Material Handler reports directly to the Front Line Leader. Maintains material systems and equipment
in good working order at all times, and maintains a clean and neat work area with safety in mind.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to use the forklift and obtain a valid forklift license through required training.
  • Must perform daily checks on forklifts and complete required form.
  • Maintain/Issue resin and packaging supplies to all machines as required through PLEXUS jobs.
  • Blend resins, concentrates, and additives as needed for production requirements from PLEXUS.
  • Move material from the material staging area/warehouse and issues to production, making sure the 
  • Material listed on PLEXUS jobs match the material being loaded.
  • Move finished goods from the airlock/machine to Final Audit area in a timely basis.
  • Weigh up/count material, components, and packaging, print new label from PLEXUS with correct 
  • quantity and return to the warehouse.
  • Cleans and maintains grinders, hoppers, loaders, and dryers, including system set-up.
  • Must be trained on PLEXUS to view jobs and issue materials accordingly.
  • Weigh scrap, label and move to designated area for resale and place recyclable items in proper storage areas.
  • Assist warehouse with scanning master unit labels and wrapping skids.
  • Must be trained to operate all machines and relieve operators for breaks as needed.
  • Must follow current Good Manufacturing Practices at all time.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Education and Job Experience Requirements


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Must be able to read, write and speak English. Previous forklift experience required.


Work Environment and Physical Demands


  • While performing the duties of this Job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, etc.).
  • Position requires the abilities to walk, sit, stand, lift and carry up to 50 pounds; ability to hear, understand and convey verbal communications of and to other personnel.
