Overview

The Front Line Leader reports to the Process Engineer and has a responsibility to maintain molds and equipment thereby producing quality product efficiently. All Team Members report to the Front Line Leader.  The Front Line Leader must maintain Quality System requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a safe, desirable working environment for employees.
  • Full responsibility for part quality.
  • Must follow current Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
  • Promotes and complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Instructs employees of job duties and responsibilities.
  • Performs written warnings and disciplinary actions with the guidance of the Process Engineer and or Operations Manager and Human Resources Manager.                                                         
  • Keeps the Process Engineer/Operations Manager up to date on all production problems or needs.
  • Assures time and attendance procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for training requirements compliance.
  • Maintains open communication, shifts meetings for employee feedback and morale.
  • Assures productivity standards are achieved.
  • Must have processing abilities and be capable of working with various molding and assembly equipment.
  • Notifies maintenance of problems pertaining to the machines or equipment.
  • Must maintain accountability towards established expectations.
  • Promote an environment of continuous improvement and positive thinking.
  • Must follow quality policy guidelines.
  • Must be flexible.
  • Must assume responsibility for schedule attainment, personnel issues, and provide management direction
  • when required and appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Sufficient analytical skills to assess problems or unusual situations and develop solutions
  • Strong communication and training skills and the ability to communicate information to others
  • Strong interpersonal skills and supervisory skills
  • The ability to work without supervision
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to OSHA and FDA.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish facts
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be Computer Literate with experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access as well as application specific software.

  • Working knowledge of Plexus.

 

 

 

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must have previous experience as a Supervisor.  Must have good knowledge of plastic components and injection molding processes.  Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.  Proven record of job stability.  Must be able to read, write and speak English. Technical degree and/or three years of supervision for injection molding in a high volume manufacturing facility preferred.
