Responsible for mold tool estimates and part estimates as needed.


  • Evaluates customer projects for compatibility with EG Industries technology
  • Generates concepts and prepares price quotations on knowledge of customer requirements and specifications.  (Internal mold construction and outsourcing.)
  • Recommends material, tooling strategies and process based on customer and product requirements when appropriate
  • Assists in development of EG Industries manufacturing and quality techniques relative to specific projects upon request
  • Assists in sales strategies and activities in cooperation with the Estimating Manager.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of EG Industries production and delivery schedules
  • Resolves customer inquiries and problems
  • Develops and fosters relationships with sales force, customers and key suppliers
  • Interacts with staff members and management in various departments to review new product proposals and quotations
  • Incorporates sales analysis to sales plan for setting goals, objectives and targets, then works toward those targets


Required Competencies, Skills and Experience

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of estimating mold construction and part pricing experience required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and CAD files.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of sense of urgency
  • Customer service skills
  • Plastics industry knowledge (building molds, molding parts, assembly automation)


Education and Job Experience Requirements

  • Four (4) to ten (10) years of trade school, vocational/college education, apprenticeship, or related experience.


Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor
  • Ability to travel by car or airplane as required
  • Office and manufacturing plant
  • Customer facilities
