Overview

Collect and analyze data to improve manufacturing processes and implement controls; Drive the corrective action process; Department lead in all New Model activity.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the corrective action process to achieve hard countermeasures.
  • Act as primary customer contact.
  • Develop and maintain a program for supplier quality systems.
  • Conduct process audits per PQCT and initiate corrective actions from findings.
  • Report non-conformances to management and assist in developing corrective action plans
  • Teach quality tools to all levels of management and associates
  • Maintain open communication with customers to ensure continuous satisfaction relative to quality; complaint follow-up and resolution, field survey of customer’s plant, return /warranty analysis, etc.
  • Manage PQCTs development based on process flow and PFMEAs
  • Utilize Statistical techniques to determine production process capability
  • Lead / facilitate scrap improvement activity
  • Lead / facilitate direct pass improvements
  • New Model and Design Change lead for the Quality department
  • Manage countermeasure audits
  • Manage product testing and measurement
  • Manage the calibration process
  • Maintain and improve the ISO 9000 Quality Management System
  • Engineer quality gates in the process
  • Support department Business Plan activity

Qualifications

Required skills and experience:

  • Degreed with 3-5 years experience in quality preferred.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft office applications; specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Be knowledgeable in the TQM program including: fundamentals of probability and statistics, statistical quality control, quality planning and management, quality cost analysis, reliability and maintainability, quality information systems, automotive systems and procedures, blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing.

  • ISO9000 Quality Systems Training
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to make sound decisions
