To manage and develop specific programs awarded to EGI from Medical OEM or Automotive OEM/Tier 1. Duration of responsibility is generally from award through steady state production. Leadership is required in the coordination of EGI cross functional team efforts (as well as with customer teams) to achieve program deliverables and successful launch; particularly in the attainment of part costs, profit margins, quality expectations and delivery requirements timing.



  • Evaluate and Develop Timelines
  • Determine design duration & resource planning for task(s) at hand
  • Develop detailed timelines (milestones) to include individual elements such as tool build, machine build, process development, document preparation, and packaging preparation duration
  • Modify timelines as customer needs and program elements move/change, confirming new timeline(s) still meeting customer requirements where possible

Manage the Program

  • Hold kickoff meeting with EGI team
  • Overall responsibilities for EGI Program Management System
  • Lead the overall Phase Gate Process and ensure that all elements are followed in execution of new programs
  • Review design(s)
  • Develop and maintain electronic program book and necessary documentation
  • Launch tooling
  • Identify equipment for program
  • Manage tool builds
  • Coordinate production trials
  • Supplies pilot parts
  • Coordinate design and launch of related equipment
  • Coordinate any part modifications required
  • Ensure Qualification requirements (customer specific) are complete and accurate
  • Attain customer documentation
  • Attain dimensional reports
  • Attain fit, function, appearance, approvals as required
  • EGI documentation control plans, flows, PFMEA
  • Attain customer approval

Interact with Customers

  • Identify and interact with internal and external customers
  • Communicate program specific information to internal and external customers
  • Maintain Action Item Tracker and Change Log
  • Attend customer meetings
  • Maintain communication after the launch until steady state production is met

Coordinate Plant/Manufacturing Activities

  • Conduct Kick-off meeting
  • Conduct Risk/Feasibility Meeting
  • Coordinate Quality activities
  • Coordinate Testing
  • Coordinate specification compliance
  • Coordinate trial event activities
  • Maintain EGI Gate phase of sign offs
  • Manage program costs and budget
  • Interface w/vendors
  • Development of team and standardization of process through team reviews and lessons learned process
  • Lead monthly management review process and address action items
  • Ability to identify risks and develop an action plan to resolve with the team



Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of cost, systems, tooling, manufacturing
  • Must be team oriented, self-motivated, and detail oriented
  • The ability to have people take your direction even though they don't report to you
  • Ability to tell customers what they might not want to hear
  • Strong quality skills        
  • Ability to come to closure on projects
  • Project Planning skills
  • Injection molding experience

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of industry terminology
  • Knowledge of materials, such as plastics
  • Ability to meet timelines and deadlines
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs
  • Experience in advanced engineering development and execution of new technology
  • Ability to travel and work as needed

Education and Job Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • At least 4-6 years in a Program Manager role, or equivalent
