  • Overview

    Complete daily workcenter audits at every changeover and at least once per shift for workcenters that do not have changeovers.  Assist with creating a culture of proper inventory control throughout the plant by helping other associates understand the importance of inventory accuracy and control as well as proper process for inventory handling and usage.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform daily workcenter audits and reconcile findings
    • Assist Operators with proper consuming of inventory usage at all workcenters
    • Work with Material Handlers to ensure items are removed from workcenters when appropriate
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Decision Making Authority

    • Has the authority to adjust inventory amounts in ERP system

    Qualifications

    Required Competencies, Skills and Experience

    • 3+ years working in a Manufacturing environment
    • Has experience working in an ERP system, adjusting inventory, transaction history etc.
    • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
    • Must be able to work 3rd shift

     

    Preferred Skills

    • APICS certification, knowledge of inventory systems
    • 3+ years Inventory Control experience

     

    Education and Job Experience Requirements

    • High school diploma/GED equivalent

     

    Work Environment and Physical & Mental Demands

    • The ability to work in non-climate controlled plant areas
    • Ability to be exposed to noisy plant areas and forklift traffic and occasionally work from outside and work from heights
    • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions under pressure
    • Ability to work flexible schedules and work overtime as needed and on short notice
    • Ability to walk on concrete floors
    • Possess near-vision and manual and finger dexterity; ability to use inductive and deductive reasoning
    • Ability to make decisions and take appropriate actions when it comes to stopping processes, if unsafe conditions exist or if quality expectations are not met.
