  • Overview

    The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for purchasing, production control, material service and logistics


    • Manage material service operations including purchasing, production control, logistics, materials movement, shipping and receiving
    • Interface with component and MRO suppliers
    • Management of production component and MRO delivery
    • Manage ERP systems that affect the materials activities
    • Manage shipping and receiving processes
    • Manage trailer activities, incoming and outgoing
    • Manage packaging and returnable container program


    Required skills and experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business with 3 years experience in the automotive industry
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft office applications; specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
    • Working knowledge of ERP operating systems (Symix preferable)


    Preferred skills and experience:

    • ISO9000 or QS9000 Quality systems training
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Negotiation skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Self-starter with the ability to make sound decisions
