  • Responsibilities

    • Ensures safe practices within the work environment related to process control to ensure compliance with both regulatory and company policies
    • Monitors injection molding processes including cycle times and process development parameters to ensure machines are operating in a validated state
    • Adjusts injection molding processes within the allowed validated process window to correct defects that occur during production
    • Makes recommendations and shares observations with a cross functional team including Process Engineer, Maintenance, and Tooling when defects cannot be corrected with validated process adjustments
    • Pull, hang, and water molds correctly
    • Answer machine alarms and support production floor
    • Verify that machines are operating according to PD
    • Troubleshoot material loading equipment
    • Completes required paperwork and objective evidence by our quality system requirements (QMS) and or applicable protocols
    • Serve as a backup to the Front-Line Leaders when needed
    • Perform other duties as related to the position and assigned

    Qualifications

    Required Competencies and Skills

    • Sufficient analytical skills to assess problems or unusual problems and communicate to the Process Engineer
    • Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information.
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Team oriented and result driven
    • Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

    Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Plastic process experience required
    • Three years’ experience in Injection Molding is preferred
    • General knowledge of Injection Molding and manufacturing operations
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Basic computer skills required
