  • Overview

    Performs routine inspection of products for conformance to specific product standards. Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned.  Assess and advise quality on the production floor at all times.


    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    May include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Visually inspect molded parts on production line to pre-established standard.
    • Visually inspect, stamp and pack parts per work instructions and packaging diagram
    • Perform routine inspection of product to standard
    • Complete inspection audit reports and/or SPC charts, where applicable
    • Utilize quality testing equipment, where applicable
    • Keep Team Leader/Supervisor informed and document of any abnormalities in the production flow and product quality.
    • Records appropriate data collections as required.
    • Inform Technicians of any non-conforming parts found in a timely manner
    • Must successfully pass color testing as required
    • Attend all required meetings and training when scheduled
    • Maintain a safe and clean work area
    • Must be knowledgeable in required personal protective equipment
    • Must be a team player
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Communicate as per trigger matrix
    • Perform 1st piece validation at start and at every applicable manufacturing change point control
    • Make aesthetic appearance decision as per FPE internal quality criteria
    • Maintain quality sample boards on shift basis
    • Shift: 3:30pm to Midnight

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  May have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


    Safety Requirements

    Must observe and practice all safety regulations.  This includes the wearing and proper usage of the necessary personal protective equipment required for any task.



    Preferred Skills



    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.


    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


    Other Qualifications

    Must be able to work overtime and to work overtime at short notice. Must be able to work well with other associates and follow all company rules, regulations and company policies.

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally may maneuver up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job may include but not limited to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must be able to stand continuously for the duration of scheduled shift.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to forklift traffic and moving production lines. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  The climate within the production area is not controlled
